International conferences aimed at supporting reforms in Ukraine have been held on an annual basis since 2017. The Ukraine Reform Conference is an annual high-level political event held in the UK, Canada, Denmark and Lithuania that allows Ukraine to highlight its reforms progress and discuss the next reform priorities.  
However, Russia's war against Ukraine has raised a number of issues that need to be addressed. To this end, the international community has come together to create a platform for discussing Ukraine's recovery.

The latest war crime committed by russian terrorists involved blowing up the Kakhovka dam on Tuesday 6th of June, leaving an enormous environmental catastrophe. Ukraine has accused Russia of blowing up the massive Kakhovka dam, which provides water to a large number of civilians, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, and will flood huge territories. The local mayor has defined the event as a “terrorist act”. Also lost is one of major sources of clean renewable energy for Ukraine, which has already had roughly half of its energy infrastructure destroyed by russia.
