The event seeks to highlight the pivotal role of renewable energy and energy efficiency in fostering a sustainable and green economic recovery, while bolstering Ukraine's energy security and unlocking its investment potential. Additionally, it aims to facilitate collaboration between Ukrainian businesses and their British counterparts in the realms of business, finance, and insurance, aiming to mobilize their support for the successful implementation of renewable energy projects in Ukraine.
The event will feature two panel discussions with government and business representatives, alongside Ukrainian and international experts. Esteemed speakers will include MP Andrii Zhupanyn, the author of the draft law 9011-D "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on the Restoration and Green Transformation of the Energy System of Ukraine," Anna Zamazieieva, Head of State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE), and Oleksii Sobolev, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization.
The meeting will also host representatives from prominent organizations including the EBRD, EIB, IEA, Energy Community Secretariat, as well as business associations and renowned experts from think tanks such as Ember and Carbon Tracker.
The event will be moderated by Susanne Nies, Green Deal Ukraine Project Manager at the Helmholtz Center in Berlin, and Malgorzata Wiatros-Motyka, Senior Electricity Analyst at Ember.
The first panel discussion will involve representatives from the Ukrainian government and Ukraine's partners, focusing on government initiatives to attract investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The second panel discussion will feature representatives from business associations and practitioners involved in renewable energy investment projects. They will present the economic potential for renewable energy development in Ukraine and explore strategies to unlock Ukraine's participation in new green production chains in Europe while ensuring sustainability.
During the event, Razom We Stand will present its report titled "Investing in Ukraine's Renewable Energy: The Key to Future Energy Security" Registered participants will have the opportunity to engage with the speakers by asking questions and will receive the report and related materials after the event concludes. The event will additionally encompass the signing of a Memorandum on the establishment of industrial parks for energy storage systems in Ukraine. This agreement will be signed by prominent Ukrainian and international companies, including British MSP, European Fifth Volt, Ukrainian Voltage Group, MHP, and Global 100 RE Ukraine.
