About The Role
As an international organisation founded and based in Ukraine, we envision a world where Ukraine and the entire planet enjoy a fully renewable, affordable, and secure energy system that benefits everyone.
We are a rapidly growing, high-potential organisation with eight staff members, many partners, and volunteers.
Razom We Stand's mission is to aid the rapid transition from fossil fuels to clean energy for peace and justice, including rebuilding Ukraine. Our work also focuses on cutting off Russia's exports from fossil fuels and driving global momentum towards a clean energy future, surpassing the demand for fossil fuels.
We aim to eliminate fossil-fueled dictatorships, expedite political change, and catalyse investments in clean energy in Ukraine, the EU, and worldwide. We influence high-profile decision-makers to fast-track a climate-friendly and peaceful future for Ukraine and beyond its borders.
The role carries two core elements: leading the strategy work in Europe and working closely and collaboratively with the Director globally.
Razom We Stand program’s goal is to aid the transition away from dirty energy to clean energy for peace and justice. We continue working towards cutting off Russia’s exports from fossil fuels which is essential for peace & the climate and driving global momentum for a clean energy future where the transition to renewables outpaces the dash for gas.
Our overall purpose is to eliminate fossil fuelled dictatorships and fast-track political change to catalyse investments into clean energy in Ukraine, the EU and globally. As an international organisation founded and based in Ukraine, we envision a world where Ukraine and the whole world have a fully renewable, affordable, and secure energy system that benefits all people. We influence those currently in power to make decisions that will build a sustainable and peaceful future.
The Russian war against Ukraine has caused the most profound energy crisis in modern history along with the horrific, destruction, violence, human casualties and genocide against hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians killed by Russian troops. We believe that Russia’s war against Ukraine can be stopped through increased sanctions on Russia’s fossil fuels industry and a clean energy revolution globally. We are sure the EU could go faster and become independent from Russian gas as soon as 2025 by boosting low-carbon and renewable energy production and energy efficiency measures.
The role will play a significant role in achieving this goal, especially in coordinating leadership from Europe.
The role requires high-level coordination and support to our team and a deep understanding of designing the global strategies to end fossil fuels and boost clean energy.
The role nurtures a vibrant, creative, fun and supportive culture across the team, and leads our program’s campaign planning and evaluation process and important partners in Europe and some globally.
The role engages with a wide variety of people from businesses, NGO leaders and sometimes governments. Strategic vision, clear, direct communication, an unflappable nature, and the ability to read people and group dynamics are critical to the success of this role.
